VCXO Oscillator Design Engineer Position:

Job Description:
Design and simulate designs from VCXO's using simulation tools like PSPICE or MicroCap. Prototype, characterize and qualify new designs for production release. Work with Quartz Crystal and SAW design groups to coordinate crystal specifications. Supervise technicians as assistants. Specify production test parameters and if necessary new production procedures. Assist in the design of required test fixtures and software. . Perform phase noise, and jitter analyses. Operate network and spectrum analyzers. Consult with mechanical and production engineers for new packages and construction techniques. Research technical journals for the application of new components and design technology. Contribute ideas and opinions in general design reviews for other products. Employ ISO 9000 standards for design project management.

Relationships and roles within the company:
Report status of projects to engineering manager. Communicate effectively to accomplish short term and long term goals as set by engineering manager. Work with production engineers and chief engineer regarding sales and marketing new product requests for costs and leadtimes.

Requirements:
BSEE or MSEE or equivalent. 3 or more years of experience in the design and production of quartz crystal oscillators.
