Connor-Winfield Timing Products

Connor-Winfield offers a wide variety of timing devices for use in synchronous timing applications in SONET, SDH, and Synchronous Ethernet networks. Our highly reliable, high precision STC series single chip solutions operate in free run, locked and holdover modes with configurable bandwidth filter. Master/Slave operating is available as well. Many of our timing solutions are fully compliant with Telcordia GR-1244-CORE, GR-253-CORE, and ITU-T G.812/G.813/G.8262. With a full line of Timing ICs, Timing Line Cards, Timing Sync Cards, and a variety of GPS based timing products, Connor-Winfield provides the ideal solution for all of your timing and synchronization needs.

STC Series

The STC series of products, featuring the STC3500, STC3800, STC5230, STC5270, STC5420 and STC5425 are integrated single chip solutions designed specifically for use as the timing source in SDH, SONET and Synchronous Ethernet network elements. All of the STC series products boast configurable bandwidth, support SPI bus interface, and have IEEE 1149.1 boundary scan. Four to twelve reference inputs are available along with three to nine outputs, depending on the model. The STC single chip solutions feature hitless switching and lock on to either a TCXO or OCXO.

SM3 Series

The SM3 Series, which includes the SM3, SM3E and SM34 are complete system clock modules designed for use in shared port adapters, data digital cross connects, ADMs, DSLAMs, multiservice platforms, switches and routers in TDM, SDH and SONET environments. These modules are available with Stratum 3 or Stratum 3E compliancy. These compact modules have four to eight input references, hitless reference switching, bi-directional SPI port control and status reporting.

SFX Series

The SFX series of timing chips are high precision frequency translators that are well suited for use in line cards, service termination cards and similar applications. They provide reliable reference, phase locked synchronization and jitter attenuation for TDM, PDH, SONET and SDH network equipment. These frequency translators, which can lock to four selectable frequencies, are ideal for SONET, SDH, ATM, DWDM, FDM and FEC applications. They provide a jitter filtered, wander following output signal synchronized to a superior Stratum or peer input reference signal.

SCG Series

The synchronous clock generators series of timing solutions from Connor-Winfield provide high precision phase lock loop frequency translation for telecommunication applications. They are perfect for use in line cards, service termination cards and similar functions requiring a reliable reference, phase locked, synchronization and low phase gain for TDM, PDH, SONET and SDH network equipment. The SCG's provide a jitter filterd wander following output synchronized to a superior Stratum or peer input reference signal. They are operable with one or two input references and have one or two outputs.
